Sustainability

CateringCom consciously chooses sustainability

At CateringCom, we believe that good food and responsible business go hand in hand. We strive to make every event not only delicious, but sustainable too.

We want to reduce our environmental footprint without compromising on quality or experience. We do this step by step, making conscious choices about products, logistics and waste management.

For us, sustainability is not a buzzword, but an ongoing effort. We keep looking for ways to improve how we work — together with our suppliers, customers and partners.

Our approach

Our 5 pillars of sustainability

Sustainable business starts with conscious choices in every part of our operations. That is why we base our sustainability policy on five strong pillars.

01

Working with seasonal products

We deliberately choose ingredients that are in season. Seasonal products are fresher, tastier and have a much smaller environmental footprint. By reworking our menus each season, we guarantee both quality and sustainability.

02

Working with local manufacturers, traders and growers

We believe in the power of short supply chains. By working with producers and suppliers in our region, we reduce transport distances, strengthen the local economy and ensure transparency in origin and quality.

03

Minimising food waste through social and sustainable initiatives

Preventing food waste is one of our top priorities. We plan carefully, but any leftovers find a new purpose through initiatives such as Too Good To Go or local food banks. This way, we ensure as little food as possible goes to waste and that it reaches people who can use it.

04

Reducing waste through reusable materials

At our events, we choose reusable porcelain, glassware and professional equipment. We eliminate single-use plastics completely wherever possible. Where our packages still require them, we choose recycled materials. By sorting intelligently and limiting waste streams, we keep our environmental footprint low.

05

Thoughtful planning: the key to sustainability

Sustainability depends on good preparation. That is why we plan every event in detail: logistics (optimal transport, minimal journeys), kitchen (accurate quantity estimates) and event flow (smart equipment, efficient workflows). Strong planning means less waste, less transport and more efficient delivery of every event.
